Since Adams Oshiomhole resumed duties as National Chairman of the governing party, All Progressives Congress (APC) he has hardly known rest. The man from Etsako has put himself under immense but avoidable pressure.
From Chief Bisi Akande to John Odigie-Oyegun, none has faced the sort of pressure Oshiomhole is passing through. From the oath that he will rather die if Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki is not impeached to he will cut Chris Ngige to size and teach him how to be a reasonable minister to he will ensure that all the thieves in the opposition party are exposed to Rochas Okorocha will land in jail for looting Imo State dry if he attempts to defect to any political party to Ibikunle Amosun is lucky to be governor of Ogun State…..and so on
The endless wars of Mr. Party Chairman is taking their toll on him. He is getting increasingly worried as the structure of the party he controls is falling like a pack of cards. One can only pray, he doesn’t break down. God forbid. His strong will is giving way to sleepless nights, nocturnal meetings, war of words with foes and battle to keep his post.
Oshiomhole surely needs to slow down and take some rest. But one doubts if this could be possible especially when we consider that he has been reminded that his son, Cyril Oshiomhole is contesting for the House of Representatives despite being a member of Edo State House of Assembly….This surely could raise another dusts even as previous ones are yet unsettled. We wait to see….But my candid advice is that Mr. Chairman should remember that he has a beautiful young wife and life after being National Chairman. The energy Oshiomhole has dissipated on his job as APC National Chairman since he assumed responsibility which is not more than 130 days is more than the energy he put into his eights years as governor of Edo State. Mr. Chairman, please you need some rest sir.
