4 Ways you wasted money using Facebook wrongly without noticing

Facebook is the biggest and cheapest social media platform in Nigeria. There is no second, minute or hour that you do not see users online. For the business community, the use of Facebook in marketing services and products is overwhelming but the bitter truth is that majority of the users who use this platform for business keep on spending money doing things wrongly.
As a business person, the first thing you need to understand is what you are selling – a service or a product. The way you market a service is different from the way you handle product marketing. There so many ways we waste money but I have chosen 3:
1. Wrong target audience
Every business has its target audience for her products and services. A lot of Facebook users spend money buying data and also using paid ads to advertise to the wrong audience. As a business, you must identify and target the right audience. Create your audience first before posting any ad.

2. Lack of creative ads
Creative ads with attention grabbing headlines guarantees money spent on ads whether paid or free. Most business people just spend time and money posting ads that are poor in creativity both in the copy and visual. It is advisable that before you put up an ad, there should be testing and scaling.
Don’t waste time and money posting ads every day without checking it out to see if it can appeal to others.

3. Name recognition instead of lead generation
The survival of every business depends on the leads that finally become customers. Lead generation is very important for the sustenance of business. Majority of users do not understand the feature “Boost” on a Facebook page. For target audience that no feedback is required, the boost feature is okay but where you want your target audience to buy from you, then what you need is Lead generation.
Use the right feature on social media for the right purpose.
