Eden Hazard has again talked up a potential move to Real Madrid, indicating that he would not be against the idea of leaving Chelsea.
The Belgian has been courted by the Spanish giants for some time, and the player himself spoke of his desire to move to the Santiago Bernabeu after the World Cup last summer.
The forward turned 28 earlier in January, and has now entered the final 18 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge having won the Premier League on two occasions, an FA Cup and League Cup during his time with the Blues.
Hazard was speaking to France Football when he was again questioned on a move to the Spanish capital, to which he responded: “Why not? You know it very well. You’re asking the question, but you know what the answer will be so you don’t have to ask it.
“I’ve won everything in England, apart from the Community Shield, but that doesn’t mean I’m leaving. I’ve always said that I wanted to explore something different after England but there are also things that might make me stay.
Hazard was first linked with a move to Madrid during Zinedine Zidane’s time with the club, with it widely known that the player idolized the 1998 World Cup winner in his formative years.
It is understood that despite Zidane’s departure at the end of last season, Hazard has not lost any attraction towards a move, adding: “If he goes to Manchester tomorrow, for instance, I will not be going there.”
