The driver of a Toyota 4 Runner with plate number AAA 144 BV has been involved in an accident along Ago Palace way, Okota. The accident which took place between 6:10pm and 6:20pm this evening (12/1/2019) involved only driver. When asked how it happened he said he did not know what came over him but suddenly found himself in a dazed state. According to some eye witnesses on the scene, the driver entered Ago Palace way, from Okota road and immediately the vehicle swerved before hitting another Toyota sienna vehicle parked by roadside.
The impact was so strong that it pulled off the front wheel along with the axle on the driver’s side before somersaulting twice.
It was in the cause of the somersaults that it rammed into nearby shops destroying a famous barbing and hair dressing salon that was located opposite Olusesi Street. Mr. Samson also know as Da Smora who was the manager of the damaged shop, told Gistpad that he was inside the shop when he heard a large crash and saw a car pull out the metal doors of the shop and pulling down business boards of the other shops. He said when he came out of the shop; he saw the vehicle laying on the left side on top the walkway pavement.
Barely few minutes after the accident, a police van with 4 mobile policemen had arrive the scene with the aim of coming to arrest the driver of the car and take him to their station but the boys in the area however refused. They suspected some foul play from the policemen and instead whisked the driver away.
No lives were lost in the accident. The driver was pulled out without any physical injury. Not even a scratch
