“Ghosts are now being used to attack me in Government House, I don’t sleep at nights. As unbelievable as it might sound, It’s true. I know what I battle every night in Douglas House all because the big guys think I know too much, If not that I am someone who is so close to God, they would have succeeded in taking me down”
The above statement was credited to Gov. Rochas Okorocha in a trending story. For me, I will treat the above quote as an allegation because we are already entering the campaign period therefore, anything can be said by any politician or candidate. It depends on those who want to accept or reject them. It depends if you are a hailer or wailer….A piece of “Fake News” if you care…..
Yes, Okorocha could say this if we go by his recent quote where he said, “If I say what I know, Nigerians will burn down Aso Rock in 24 hours”.
But this present quote seems more worrisome than that of Aso Rock given that it is a sort of threat to his life. Who are the BIG GUYS who think Okorocha knows TOO MUCH? Big Guys in Owerri or Abuja? What is it that Okorocha really knows that the rest of us don’t know? Is he referring to those who frowned at his threat to say what could lead to the razing of Aso Villa? Or is he referring to those in Imo who are almost succeeding in expelling him from APC? Who are those sending these GHOSTS to Okorocha? Where do the GHOSTS come from? Are they ghosts of the spirits of the deities of the Owerri Market demolished months ago? Are they from his party APC? Are they from Imo APC or the National Executive of the party in Abuja?
Now that GHOSTS are making our governor restless and SLEEPLESS IN DOUGLAS HOUSE, what do we do as Imolites? Relocate his abode to his hometown in Orlu or move Government House temporarily away from its present location?
Thank God Mr. Governor IS CLOSE TO GOD who has been his protector so far according to him. Perhaps Okorocha just needs to raise this alarm for his supporters who are shrinking and reducing by the day to be aware otherwise, he isn’t really worried.
Critics say, Okorocha is facing the repercussions of fighting too many wars including that infamous one with the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri who was embarrassed few months ago by persons believed to be supporters of his anointed candidate, Chief of Staff cum son-inlaw, Uche Nwosu. They say Okorocha’s comment is that of a desperate and drowning man. They say that Okorocha is like a football team captain red-carded by the referee for foul play or about to be substituted by the coach for performing horribly. They conclude that he is like an Army General abandoned by his troop and loyalists for plotting a coup without their consent….The coup of picking his son-inlaw as governor, son-inlaw as deputy governor, his wife as House of Reps member, his cousins as House of Assembly members and himself as Senator.
We wait to see how far Okorocha will go with the GHOSTS giving him SLEEPLESS nights with six months left for him to spend in Douglas House.
