A tragic incident occurred today at Opobo Junction area of Aba, as a commercial motorcyclist popularly known as Okada was allegedly shot dead by a soldier. The Okada rider was reportedly shot dead by the soldier over his refusal to give N100 bribe at a check point in the community. The deceased was said to have welcomed a new child with his wife weeks earlier before being shot dead. It was further learnt that the incident led to a reprisal attack as a Nigerian police truck was set on fire by an angry mob.
