The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Charles Chukwuma Soludo is 95% inside the State house of his state where he contested in the governorship elections. Mr Soludo who ran under the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) was CBN Governor from 2004 - 2009.
In the keenly contested elections which was held on 6th November,2021, the PDP and APC could not catch up with all powerful party which has been ruling the state. At the time of this report, APGA has won 17 out the 19 local government areas. Although elections were cancelled in some polling units due to unrest and box snatching. According to the APC, there are allegations of rigging by the incumbent party.
