Both men are from same political party, the governing All Progressives Congress (APC)....talking about Gov. Hope Uzodinma and Senator Rochas Okorocha.
They are from the same Senatorial zone...Orlu or Imo West.
They exchanged positions or baton as Governor and Senator respectively.
Yet they are at daggersdrawn. They have been hurling "stones" at each other....just as their aides have continued to fire from all cylinders.
But what is the problem or Genesis of it? Is it just muscle flexing? Or about strategizing ahead of 2023? Or have some people just decided that Imo State will not know peace? Or is it that they want Imo to remain ungovernable?
Imo North is yet to have a representative in the Senate. Litigations have been flying around all the courts in the land. The Supreme Court has continued to decide who runs or governs the people in the state as elections in the state no longer produces a winner....Winners emerge in and from the Supreme Court
Recall that this was almost the same scenario when Emeka Ihedioha was Governor before the January 14, 2020 Supreme Court judgement swept away his administration.
Imo was almost at a boiling point. There was hardly a day that passed without conflicts between loyalists of Okorocha and government officials under Ihedioha's administration.
With the ongoing faceoff between Uzodinma and Okorocha, the people ask, when will Imo face and experience true governance? There is the saying that, when two elephants fight, the grass suffers. More and more elephants have continued to fight in Imo election after election...and the people are suffering because governance have been relegated to the background for chaos and impunity to reign.
Who will save Imo? Who can bell the cat?
