Gov. Yahaya Bello fondly referred to as GYB is really working hard or let's just say his campaign, media and planning teams are doing well.
Since he started his campaign through newspaper adverts on the front pages of most prominent national dailies sometime in October 2020 till date, he has sustained the tempo and continued to prove how serious he is with his BIG dream of succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari come May 29, 2023.
Many say he is a joker....but the young man is undeterred by such comments. He has continued to host high profile youth especially in the sporting sector.
Obviously, his campaign team realises that sports is the binding factor keeping Nigeria together. Some weeks back, he hosted ex-internationals led by Austin Okocha. They were mostly of the Classes of 94 and 98 of the Super Eagles. A novelty game was played amidst pomp and fanfare.
Just recently he hosted UFC Welterweight Champion, Kamarudeen Usman...and now, the news of the visit of former Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi to Government House Lokoja where he was graciously hosted by GYB has gone viral.
The question now on the lips of critics is, Who is next in the line of sports personalities for GYB to host?
Already, tongues are wagging that, it could be World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Anthony Joshua. Trust GYB and his team, they could drag AJ to Lokoja to help support the governor presidential ambition.
Don't doubt people like GYB....In politics never say never. Something could be drumming loud for him to have the courage of gathering heavyweight personalities and celebrities like these in Lokoja.
One should even wonder how and why he is getting these done in the face of the insecurity threats everywhere in the country especially in the area of movement. This is why GYB should be taken seriously..
