The cold war between Gov. Gboyega Oyetola and his predecessor cum godfather Rauf Aregbesola, the Honourable Minister of Interior is taking a scary posture according to party sources.

The crisis between both men had been treated by the National Leader of the party Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the former interim national chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande...but it does appear that the venom of war was not removed from the hearts of both men.

They are at daggersdrawn again following the recent statement by Aregbesola during the validation exercise of the party in Osogbo. Aside storming the capital without informing the governor, Aregbesola told the media that killers are invading the party.

This did not go down well with Oyetola who felt indicted if not insulted since he is incharge of the exercise as the leader of the party in the state.

The cold war between both men reminds all of the seeming coalition which even brought in Chief Christopher Iyiola Omisore to play the master card in the rerun which sealed the chances of Senator Ademola Adeleke who was leading clearly in the first election before it was scuttled for various reasons.

Now the trio of Oyetola, Aregbesola and Omisore are having their different camps within the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state. Recall that Omisore had to move his supporters from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to APC to have way for Oyetola's victory in the keenly contested election.

Today, it appears things are falling apart and party faithful opine that it may affect the party in subsequent election as the people are tired of the inconveniences brought on them by the battle for supremacy between the political gladiators.

This is almost similar to the crisis in Imo State which has led to lawlessness displayed by the so called political elites or leaders in the state.

We watch keenly to see how the crisis in the State of Osun ends....but it is clear that it may consume the APC in the state if, something is not done very fast.
