•Victor Osimhen (Napoli)

•Paul Onuachu (Genk)

•Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City)

•Henry Onyekuru (Galatasaray)

•Moses Simon (Nantes)

•Taiwo Awoniyi(Liverpool/Union Berlin)

•Bonaventure Dennis (Club Brugge/FC Koln)

•Simy Nwankwo (Crotone)

•Cyril Dessers (Genk)

•Sadiq Umar (UD Almeria)

•Anayo Iwuala (Enyimba Int'l)

The above list consist of the very best of strikers from Nigeria at the moment. But there are more names that are not on this list who may spring up surprises before the 2021 AFCON in Cameroun.

Barring injuries among other unforseen, Gernot Rohr should arguably have and present Africa's most dreaded or deadliest attack at Cameroun 2021 AFCON

Though not all the names here would make the final squad but if the coach knows his job, if these players are fit and hot as they presently are...at least 70% of them should be in Cameroun.

Before now, Super Eagles have been bedeviled by poor attacking options given that most of the first team attackers are either not getting regular action or first team shirts in their clubs or they are injured or they are playing in obscure leagues.

At Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup, present team captain, Ahmed Musa who operated as a right winger was top scorer of the team. It was a clear indictment on the strikers and a case or argument of not going to the World Cup with top quality forwards.

Today, Rohr has attackers in major European Leagues. Most of the forwards are doing well. One of them Paul Onuachu is among the leading scorers in Europe with 30 goals this term. Another Simy Nwankwo who has 14 goals already and had broken the records of George Weah and Obafemi Martins in the Serie A. There is also Kelechi Iheanacho whose resurgence has stunned many including himself.

These are indications that things are looking up for the Super Eagles ahead of AFCON. With Victor Osimhen emerging joint top scorer in the qualifiers with five goals speaks volume of how prolific Rohr's attack in AFCON may be...all things being equal.

Looking critically at Rohr's team, it is clear that his strongest department is the attack. We hope he utilises the potential and form of these strikers who have set Europe on fire by painting the continent red with goals.
