Mo Salah was a Chelsea player....offloaded to AS Roma some years ago.
A couple of season later he moved to Liverpool and became an instant hit.
Tammy Abraham may be towing that path. He has been sold to AS Roma for £34m with a buy back clause of £68m.
Should he find favour in Rome and start banging in the goals, he may return to England and possibly be pursued by Chelsea.
The story of Romelu Lukaku is a reminder of this possibility. He moved from Chelsea to Everton and then to Manchester United...before landing in Italy for Inter Milan.
After a splendid season, he was transferred back to Chelsea for a staggering £97.5m (about €115m).
But Abraham really has to work hard to achieve this dream. It is a possibility if he remains focused.
That's the world of football.
