The Government Would Have Averted These If Only They Had Listened Patiently

The Aftermath

When the EndSARS protests started and gained momentum, the Nigerian Government would have listened to the demands of the youths that they have failed. In a bid to avert being exposed they had resulted in using violence to intimidate the peaceful protesters. One of the mistakes they made was using their own created monsters to unleash terrors but they forgot that these same monsters have not been fed for properly. With the meagre payments from their masters, these monsters saw the renumeration as the catalyst to gather more funds for themselves through vandalism. If their own masters can loot openly without being persecuted, then they can also do the same.

It was from the hunger to unleash terror on the innocent that warehouses were discovered. These hoodlums could not loot alone and destroy properties without being overrrun by security forces so instead they had to teem up with the hungry masses to achieve their aim. The agenda was simple - Locate warehouses under the guise of palliatives, use the opportunity to destroy proerties belonging to both private and public institutions and then loot anything they can lay their hands on. The looting is no longer about hunger but wanton destruction of properties. For example, fertilizers, motorcycles etc are not part of the palliatives meant for the people.

If only the Nigerian Government had listened to the genuine demands of the protesters, this endless looting and attacks would not have got to this state.
