The Automotive world is gradually moving away from the era of petrol and diesel powered engines. The newest source of power is electricity. With the likes of Tesla who have started rolling out electric powered vehicles, it shows that within a short time petrol powered cars will gradually phase out in the developed world.
In Nigeria, the automotive industry is a very lucrative one. The country is among the highest oil producing countries whose major dependence is on oil exportation. A large percentage of Nigerian vehicles are petrol and diesel powered. As manufacturers of vehicles are looking in the direction of electric vehicles, what will happen to petrol vehicles in the country?
Nigeria presently suffers from power generation and distribution to her citizens. Will the country be able to generate enough power that will serve both her citizens and vehicles?
This challenge is what Jet Systems Automobile Industries Limited saw as nothing to worry about when they assembled the first electric vehicle known as the Jet Mover EV in the country. The company has been producing petrol-powered vans for the popular transport company God Is Good Motors(GIG) for use especially in their logistic arm of business.
According to the company, the EV van is the future of transport in Africa. A representative of the company who was present at the 15th Lagos Motor Fair held in Federal palace hotel, Victoria Island described the Jet Mover EV as super silent, whose movement is instantaneous and best of all produces zero emission. With EVs, the society and environment will finally be free from pollution such as smoke emissions which occurs due to combustion.
The Jet Mover EV is suitable for public mass transit projects, fleet operators and institutional transportation logistics. When asked how will the Jet Mover EV be charged? The representative on ground said that there will be charging points designed to serve the Jet Mover EVs in the designated locations. However, the Jet Mover EV comes with a specially designed battery that can accommodate a long range utility driving of 240km at full charge.
The Jet Mover EV comes as a 14 or 11-seat passenger vehicle, 5 or 7 seat VIP,or as a light delivery van. The Jet Mover EV is designed to withstand the Nigerian unique conditions. Each seat is fitted with LED screens for watching movies and playing games while in transit. You don't need to carry a power bank to charg your phones as there USB charging ports attached to each seat. The Jet Mover EV team are ready to take the Nigerian transportation system into a new level.
Take your time and go see this wonderful vehicle brand that will revolutionize the automotive industry in the country. There is an opportunity for you to see it physically at the Lagos Motor fair that is ongoing and will end on 3rd July,2021.
