Are they Nigerians? Yes, by blood or biologically. But they are British by nationality. Their bond and relationship should be a source of inspiration to the average Nigerian bent on breakup.

They are both boxers. They are both World Champions. They exploded almost in similar fashion and with identical passion.

Anthony Joshua is the WBA, WBO and IBF world title holder in the heavyweight category. Lawrence Okolie is WBO champion in the cruiserweight class.

AJ as Joshua is fondly called is the mentor and manager of Okolie, the unbeaten Hackney fighter is the first male member of Great Britain’s 2016 Olympics squad to claim a professional world title. AJ saved Okolie's career when he was at the point of exiting boxing.

The Mentee's mother has vowed that never will her son popularly known as "The Sauce" fight AJ, his Mentor...even as experts and promoters predict a likely confrontation of both pugilists if one decides to go up in weight class.

This sums up how close both guys are. Indeed, they are buddies bond by profession but more by "fatherland".

Like Okolie puts it, "I owe AJ a lot for my career. I cannot be grateful enough to him for the revival he gave me and my boxing career at a point I was sinking. I'm glad to have made him proud of me by getting the WBO title round my waist. I promise him more because he deserves just the best. He's my hero."

We can only wish both guys well as they keep doing Nigeria proud in their chosen profession. One a Yoruba and the other Igbo yet, they share the love of brotherhood in the Nigerian spirit. Can an average Nigerian see and feel the love between these two?
