Sony might be ready to unveil some upcoming PlayStation 5 games as early as next Wednesday anonymous sources with knowledge of the event told Bloomberg. Like many other presentations we have seen, particularly during the Summer Game Fest season, it will be an online affair. […]
I was at Tafawa Balewa Square(TBS), for an event two days ago. And just last night I came across the news of how a University of Lagos lecturer was caught demanding sex for grades. There has been uproar from different quarters calling for the head of the lecturer who is also a pastor with Foursquare Gospel Church.
It is really a sad thing for the society and the Christian environment. When I was at TBS, I was fathomed to see the provocative dressings of teenage girls all over the place. Decency was imprisoned in a dungeon with the key thrown into the sea. These girls were between the ages of 16 and 25. It was as if they were for a mission. It was more than provocative. It was inviting.
Some of these girls wore bump shorts exposing their thighs and showing enough skin. Others wore dresses that exposed their cleavages and their backs. The whole environment was ignited with sexual thoughts. The looks on the faces of some of the guys showed that they were already in bed with these girls in their hearts. There was one who openly used his tongue to lick his lips unknowingly.
On my way home from TBS, I made a brief stop to buy something somewhere in Surulere only to see another large community of teenage girls clad in skimpy clothes. I was told that when it is 8pm that I will see twice the size of these girls wriggling their waists for their boyfriends, drinking and smoking. In the university environment, some of these girls are dressing provocatively to arouse the randy demons in their lecturers. They go about sampling their intimate wares inviting you to come and invest.
Mothers are cursing the lecturer for his behavior but they have forgotten that they are a major cause of these problems. Are these girls not Christians who have been taught to dress decently but yet have refused? Did their mothers not see them leave the house half naked? What was their reaction? A well-trained girl brought up under genuine Christian teachings as well as moral trainings knows what is right or wrong. A lot these mothers are mere church-goers. They adopt the name Christian yet don’t have the growth of Christ in them.
If you check out in most cases, these randy lecturers do not harass the decent and brilliant female students because they know such students can get them into problem. It is mostly the lazy female students who do not know why they are in the university that are usually harassed. They will not attend classes. All they know is fashion and parties. When they fail, they will go and tempt the weak-minded lecturer. Inasmuch as it is a crime for what the lecturer did, these students should be cautioned. It is not only in the university communities such things happen. It is even worse in both private and public establishments were some married women seduce their bosses to get favors.
A lot of Nigerian mothers in this timeline have failed seriously in their duties as mothers. You will be shocked at the kind of dresses; mothers are buying for their daughters who are under 5 years of age and the way these kindergarten mothers dress also. They start to expose these little kids to the world of fashion at a very tender age. Children are like wet cement, it is what falls on it that sticks to it. As these little girls are growing up they become more beauty conscious than academic oriented. Their mothers have taught them to understand that their bodies can open doors for them instead of their brains.
Back in the days, you find out that in polygamous homes, where there is competition among the women; we had better children. Every woman wanted to make a good name for her family. They trained their kids well so as to make the husband love them more. These days, it is worse with women who are in monogamous marriages. Is it not sad to see mothers encouraging their daughters to emulate reality show BBN housemates?
A lot of Nigerian mothers claim to be Christians but do not have Christ in them. They are failing seriously in their duties. They should bear 80% of the blame. Most mothers have left the sacred duty of training their daughters to social media, musicians, movies etc. They encourage their kids to dress as they like. They have spoilt their daughters such that they don’t have control over them anymore. What is a girl of 16 doing outside the house by 8pm?
In the same way, Nigerian mothers have messed up the lives of the male child that is what they have done to their daughters. This is the time to start looking inward and re-tracing your steps. Stop putting the lives of your daughters in danger. Stop destroying the girl child.
Train up the girl child the way she should go and she will not depart from it.
