Nigerian youngster Victor Osimen scored a brace for Lille to kick start his career in the French Ligue 1 new season. Osimen who was signed for 14 million Euros from his former club where he was the hit-man had shown that irrespective of the location a hit man is always a hit man. He is set to prove to Lille that they made the right choice in signing him.
Victor Osimhen scored his first goal for Lille OSC in the 19th minute against RC Nantes in the fan filled Stade Pierre-Mauroy in the first game of the season. At the end of the first half, it was Osimhen’s goal that separated both teams.
Barely six minutes into the second half, RC Nantes equalized via a deflected shot of the feet of Lille player Celik to earn the visitors a hope of sharing the spoils if the game was to end with a draw.
In the 80th minute, Victor Osimhen broke the hearts of the visitors who were already comfortable with a point from an away fixture with a goal. Osimhen’s brace has earned Lille OSC three points to start the season on a good note.
