●Who’s Next After Osimhen, Onyekuru
●Will Ligue 1 Produce Super Eagles Goals?
Another Super Eagles forward, Henry Onyekuru has joined French giants AS Monaco from Everton who sent him on loan to Galatasaray. Onyekuru who wedded a couple of weeks ago becomes the second Super Eagles attacker to move to France in less than three weeks.
About a fortnight ago, OSC Lille grabbed leggy forward, Victor Osimhen who was a player of Wolfsburg of Germany but loaned to Charleroi of Belgium. Both strikers have been on the lips of football loving Nigerians as likely candidates to step into the shoes of Odion Ighalo who called it quits with international football shortly after Egypt 2019 AFCON where he emerged top scorer with five goals.
We hope Ligue 1 which made great attackers like the Prince of Monaco, Victor Ikpeba, Victor Agali then with Olympique Marseille and Osaze Odemwingie formerly of Lille among others will help to transform the duo of Osimhen and Onyekuru into world class goal poachers to help propel Super Eagles to greater heights.
