5 time champions of the Coupe de la ligue has been denied a sixth claim to the competition by bottom team Avant de Guigamp . The first half ended goaless.

Guingamp would have opened the scoring against the home side PSG when they were awarded a penalty in the 59th minute which was missed. In the 63rd minute Neymar scored with a superb header.

in the 80th minute Guingamp player Coco was fouled in the 18 yard box resulting to a second penalty. This time it was substitute Yeni Ngbakoto that sent the PSG goal stopper the wrong way.

With the result at a one all draw, everybody was rest assured that the match would go into extra-time or straight to penalty just like first game played earlier which ended with Monaco beating Stade Renais in 8-7 penalty shootout.

Two minutes into the five minutes of the added time, another penalty was awarded to Guigamp who was brought down in front of the 18 yard box. Guingamp striker hit the ball so hard that Areola, the PSG’s keeper could not save it despite touching the ball.

PSG launched an attack resulting Veratti being booked for diving looking for a penalty. He was shown a yellow and booked alongside teammates Neymar and Cavani for complaining.

Guingamp has joined Monaco, Strasborg and Bordeaux in the last four.
